Like a lot of people who care about their health, we'd both been taking supplements for years. Vitamin D in winter. Omega-3 every day. Iron when energy was flat. Magnesium for sleep. B12, because someone said we should. And the inevitable multivitamin sitting at the back of the cupboard, half-finished and well past its date.
The cupboard was full. The routine was inconsistent. Half the bottles were forgotten by week three. The plastic was awful. And the cost — once we added it all up — was significantly higher than we realised.
None of it felt designed for an actual human life.
So we started asking the obvious question: why isn't this just delivered? Pre-loaded. Age-matched. In one box. Through the letterbox.
The bit that surprised us
We assumed someone must already be doing this in the UK. They weren't — at least not in the way we wanted it done. Plenty of "one pill does it all" multivitamin brands. Plenty of expensive, plastic-heavy bottle subscriptions. A few personalised options that required questionnaires and quizzes and felt more like a job than a wellness habit.
Nothing simple. Nothing properly dosed. Nothing that just arrived, did its job, and went in the recycling at the end of the month.
Happy Pills makes it right.
What we actually believe
That a 24-year-old woman has different nutritional needs than a 55-year-old man. So we built four formulations across age and gender, dosed at therapeutic levels rather than headline-friendly ones.
That cardboard belongs in your recycling, not the ocean. So every Happy Pills box is fully recyclable kraft. No plastic anywhere. No exceptions.
That a daily habit should be effortless, not effortful. So everything comes pre-loaded in four weekly strips — 28 days at a time. Tear, take, repeat. The same thinking pharmacies use when they prepare medication for elderly patients — applied to wellness, for everyone.
That you should know exactly what you're taking and why. No proprietary blends. No mystery ingredients. Just the right things, at the right doses, with the receipts shown openly.
Where we are now
Happy Pills Ltd is incorporated. The trademark is filed and granted (UK00004372414, covering supplements, retail and wellness services). The brand is locked. The suppliers are briefed. The product is documented. The website you're reading is the first step in a 100-person pilot launching summer 2026.
If the pilot goes the way we hope, we'll launch properly later in the year — first across the UK, then beyond.
We're a small team. Just the two of us, for now. We've put our own money in. We're betting the next few years of our working lives on the idea that taking your supplements every day shouldn't be this hard.
If that resonates, we'd love you to be one of the first 100.
